Liza is working at the intersection of independent and commercial animation. She was the art director of the award-winning projects Lullabies of the World and Literal Stories.
Her films have received over thirty prizes at Russian and international festivals, including the Golden Eagle, White Elephant, and Icarus awards. Liza has collaborated with major studios such as Soyuzmultfilm, Shar Studio, MetronomFilm, and Dago.
Since 2012, she has been teaching animation directing at leading Russian institutes.
She is the author of her own directing course and curator of the Energy Injection intensives, whose participants’ films have won festival prizes. This year, Liza brings Energy Injection to Tel Aviv for the first time — in a new format, together with actress and theatre director Tatiana Marek.
